Hi Folks,

I'm upgrading an instance of SS 2000 EE to 2005 EE and received the
following error:
"A problem was encountered granting access to MSDB database for login
'(null)'. Make sure this login is provisioned with SQLServer and rerun
sqlagent_msdb_upgrade.sql"

May be important to note, that, msdb was restored to the server I am
upgrading from another server.

I've upgraded many instances in the past, but have yet to run into this
issue. A search on the internet revealed nothing.

Also, I am unable to find the sql script mentioned in the error -
sqlagent_msdb_upgrade.sql

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Jay

Is there a user in the MSDB that does not map to a login? Perhaps something
brought over from the other server you restored from?
